Shah Alam Aquatic Stadium

I drove all the way to Shah Alam Club for a swim, only to be welcomed by a downpour. T.T Talk about bad weather. I so did not want to return home, refusing to accept that the weather has cheated me of my time, petrol & a good swim. So, i came up with 3 options: go to the gym in Pyramid/stay in the club's gym(wic btw is very spooky...i saw an old man in his 60s doing a headstand o.0)/swim at the indoor public pool next to the club. In the end, the public pool won.
crazy swimmers
Called my mom & boy was she unhappy bout it. She has 'a thing' with anything public. Dont ask. Oh well...apparently she's the unluckiest mom for having such a refractory/disobedient/bad-ass daughter. Hmm.. Back to the pool. YES, for those who have know me since sec school, ITS THE STADIUM WHERE A CERTAIN DIVER ahem*wailong* TRAINED AT,n where i interviewed him while he was only in his speedos... Walked rite in (paid 3 bucks for the entrance fee & 7 for a swimming cap, apparently long-haired gurls hafta wear it...fyi, the cap was kept in my bag the whole time,@$#!, conned again), n saw crowds of swimmers of all ages. Super pro la these ppl, they warmed up for at least 2 hrs!! Then they train with their legs somehow tied together & arms fitted with weights. Now i know how those muscles were built up. Digressing here. Can't help but feeling soo inferior larrr...shouldn't have listened to mom & give up on swimming. Hmm..nothing really interesting to talk about. Until my 9th lap. I was like wondering, how come i feel strong ripples of waves coming from both sides (i was in the middle of the pool) It was only until I stopped at the end when i realized that the pro swimmers have finished warming up & are now using the pool for training. AND I WAS TAKING UP ONE LANE!! The poor fella had to share lanes with another dude. Talk about mensiasuikaning sendiri. But, with all the tebal-mukaness i can muster, i finished my last lap before running out of the pool-& i meant it literally. Was practically swimming like its a matter of life & death. Then, i waited at the side until those 2 dudes returned to the end to at least apologize. BUT THEY JUST KEPT SWIMMING ON!!! I couldn't stop them to say sorry !! ISH... These 'people' do not have to take a breather after each lap, they just continue & continue & continue...like there's no tomoro...(yes,me-jealous, so?)
Oh, i had this thought while i was swimming. Yes, i DO think a lot while swimming. It's very peaceful in the water. I even sang before haha.... What was saying? Oh, it was raining really really heavily, so there were flashes of lightning which can be seen even with my head down in the water. Initially, i thought some people were taking pics of the swimmers, them being pro & all (jealousy...), but then, i realized it was the lightning.
snapped some shots while waiting for those guys to stop
Don't you guys think that lightnings are like God taking pictures down at us using a camera with the flashlight mode on? =)
